UK - **Cambridge Glass Fair - Sunday 22nd September**
It's time again to update you about the next Cambridge Glass Fair on Sunday 22nd September and let you know about some of the good things in store for you when you visit.
Whitefriars.com forum members are planning something a little different this time and are staging two separate exhibitions. The first is member and fair exhibitor Graham Hudson's collection of footed bowls designed by William Butler and the second is to be a special display of members' favourite pieces and is to be dedicated to the memory of forum member David Fuller who sadly recently died.
Graham has a very interesting collection of Butler bowls including some rare colours and it will also be quite revealing to see which pieces other Whitefriars collectors favour.
The foyer exhibition, 'A Little Taster of Europe', is again promising to be something rather special. Loaned by collector and dealer Peter Elliott and part of his own collection, some forty pieces of fine continental glass will be shown. You can find more information about this on the fair website here: http://www.cambridgeglassfair.com
In addition, exhibitor Tim Mills will be selling his new book, 'Rummers- A social history in glass', for the special price of £20 (normally £25).
Once again, visitors will be able to buy some early gifts and decorations from the Christmas table in the foyer.
Contemporary artists who are showing at the fair include Vic Bamforth from Stourbridge, Rowan van der Holt from the West Country, Laura Hart from Suffolk and Justin Lawson from Hertfordshire.
So, lots to tempt you to come along and have a great day out; if you love glass, this is an event you should not miss!
Refreshments and free parking will be available.
Linton Village College, Linton, Cambs. CB21 4JB. Open from 10.30am – 4.00pm, admission is £5 with free entry for accompanied children under 16.

The website has been updated and you will now find the new floorplans and exhibitor list plus details of the foyer exhibition etc.
Looking forward to hopefully another good event with some new faces, some returning old friends and lots of beautiful, exciting and interesting glass.
It would be great to see you there, too!
