Re: UK - NATIONAL GLASS FAIR - Sunday 6th May 2012
In addition to all of the usual attractions, we are pleased to announce that the Glass Association will be staging an exhibition of commemorative glass at the fair celebrating the various Royal Jubilees since Queen Victoria and the present Queen's coronation. The glass will be drawn from several collections and should feature around 100 pieces.
In recent years there has been a bit of a buzz surrounding Michael Harris and the glassware he produced for Mdina. Signed pieces are especially desirable and hard to come by, so one of the other highlights of the fair will undoubtedly be a fantastic Crizzle Stone vase that will be offered for sale by exhibitor Mark Newsum. This rare piece was made in 1971 and is signed by Michael Harris.
Further updates to follow.
Paul.
