2 art nouveau (?) buckles, brass, marked with "ges.gesch"

Hi guys!
Found these two interesting buckles today (one looks like bronce, the other like chrome):

My first thought was "art nouveau". Already googled and could not find them online, also google lens could not help.
Because of the "ges.gesch" on the back, they most probably were made in Germany (abbreviation for "gesetzlich geschützt" = protected by law).
Any ideas who made them, and when?
