Is WMF as in "Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik"?

WMF is the abbreviation and mark for "Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik", in first place known for their metal ware, if this was the question.

Ahhh, that's what I thought, but now that I look closer, it sems it's specific to WMF pieces designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld rather than WMF as a general subject. I only have one piece of WMF and it's a pottery wall plate...likely not Wilhelm Wagenfeld. 4 Mr Moosehead

Wagenfeld made designs in the 50s for WMF as well as for "Braun" and "Putzler". His most famous piece is the so
called "Bauhaus lamp WG24" where he started his apprenticeship as a silversmith in the 20s.
But nevertheless WMF metalwork is collectible, patinated vases and Jugendstil pieces highly and Art Deco pieces are not bad either, although it's got nothing to do with Wagenfeld. I have some very nice WMF Art Deco metal pieces. It was always mass production, but quality and good design.

Are you all sure that the past 6-7 posts are Wagenfeld? Not ALL of WMF is designed by Wagenfeld.

Judging from the craqueled porcelain I would go for late 1950s -latest-, in the 1970s WMF had turned to far more up to date designs already.
