CAMBRIDGE GLASS FAIR - Sunday 27th February**

The next Cambridge Glass Fair will take place on Sunday 27th February at Chilford Hall Vineyard, Linton, Cambs CB21 4LE.

Once again, there will be around 100 exhibitors selling glass from all periods and in all styles, including fine antique table glass, stylish French Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces, superb Scandinavian, Italian and Czech items and, of course, British glass from all the great manufacturers across the ages. There will be paperweights, perfume bottles, decanters, animal figurines, jewellery, drinking glasses and much, much more.

Glass from some of the best studio makers in the U.K. today will be found in the Contemporary Hall where there will be a demonstration of lampwork by Rowan van der Holt.

This ties in with the foyer exhibition for this fair, which features glass by Istvan Komaromy, a leading exponent of the art. The visitor will have the exciting opportunity to see in detail some of his exquisite lampwork figurines and animal sculptures.

Whitefriars.com are holding a special exhibition to celebrate the work of Ray Annenberg, the well known and respected ex-Whitefriars master glassblower. This will be on display in the Great Hall.

The fair is open from 10.30am until 4.00pm and admission is £5.

As promised, some more exciting news about the fair.

We are very pleased to tell you that there will be a glassblowing demonstration by contemporary maker Allister Malcolm, who is the artist in residence at Broadfield House Glass Museum and a regular exhibitor at the glass fairs.

He will be found in the annexe off the Contemporary Hall and will be demonstrating throughout the day.

As an addition to the Whitefriars.com Ray Annenberg exhibition, Allister has also kindly agreed to Ray giving a blowing demonstration.

This is a marvellous opportunity for Whitefriars collectors to see at close quarters one of the factory's master craftsmen showing some of the skills that were involved in producing their favourite pieces.
